I love watching the tv show House. If you have ever watched a show then you know house is very intelligent and seems to know everything. His down fall is that everyone thinks he is a jerk and has no heart. He isn't married, doesn't have close friends or any intention of making any, has no emotion, very independent, selfish, and thinks highly upon himself because he doesn't give others any credit. Being a doctor he should show some emotion when dealing with the lives of others, yet House could care less if someone dies.Our class talked a lot about antisocial personality disorder when we went over chapter twelve. On page 486 it says antisocial personality disorder is a long-term persistent pattern of impulsive, selfish, unscrupulous, and even criminal behavior. I believe House is an antisocial person. He takes advantage of the people who work for him and he lies to make himself look good at times and even after doing all this he keeps the same straight face, he shows no remorse. I would highly consider him as a person with an antisocial personality disorder.
I love House too! I also did one of my articles on "House's Head," which is the one that Amber is the "dying person" from House's memories. House is an awesome character. His little snide jokes and comments are really funny. Even when his patients' lives are threatened, we can't help not to laugh. Then, his relationship with Cuddy, now that's entertainment. In response, to the blog, I agree that House is a person with an antisocial personality disorder. He just doesn't care about the consequences to his actions and he doesn't care what others think of him. "They live, we saved their lives, they die, we learn from it and do better next time."
ReplyDeleteI think you are extremely right when thinking House is an antisocial person. He fits the definition, he doesn't care for others, only cares about himself, and he doesn’t care if all others consider what he does is wrong. If he can justify it for himself he is fine in doing it.
